BRUTTIUM. Rhegion. Circa 425-420 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.24 g, 4 h). Facing head of a lion; in field to right, olive sprig. Rev. ΡHΓI-NO-Σ Iokastos, nude to the waist, seated left on backless stool, holding long staff in his right hand; below seat, coiled serpent left; all within laurel wreath. BMC 14 (same dies). Herzfelder 59 a (this coin, D34/R49). HN Italy 2491. SNG Lockett 650 (same reverse die). Beautiful old collection toning. Minor marks and somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
